The Manchester Centre for Vision is based at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. There is a dedicated entry for it on the right hand side of the Eye Hospital. You will see the signs in ground floor entrance. In the entrance foyer take the lift to the 3rd floor to the MCV reception.
If you need help (wheelchair access), there is an intercom at the entrance door of the foyer.
Car parking is available in a new multi-storey car park. There is additional car parking near the entrance to MCV.
ROAD
The Royal Eye Hospital (where the Manchester Centre for Vision is based) is on Oxford Road (parallel to the A34), about 2 miles south of the City Centre.

Leave M62 at Junction 12 and join M602 Salford for 4 miles. At Motorway end join A57 Manchester (becoming A57(M) after 1 mile). Leave at A34 Congleton sign. Turn right into Booth Street East, then left into Oxford Road.
From M62 (northeast)
Leave M62 at Junction 18 to join M66. At Motorway end join A665. At roundabout take 2nd exit then left into Victoria Street and Deansgate. At traffic lights (Peter Street) turn left and follow signs to University.
From M56 (south)
Stay on M56; at Motorway end continue along A5103 Manchester for 4 miles. At roundabout take 3rd exit (A57) then 3rd exit again, down Higher Cambridge Street.
From M67 (east)
At Motorway end take A57 for 2 miles. Take A6010 at roundabout and after 1/2 mile turn right onto A5184. After 1/2 mile take the A6, then the A5184 (west). After 1 mile take the left fork onto the A34 (Upper Brook St.).
Coach Travel - Chorlton St coach station is in the centre of Manchester, near Piccadilly.
RAIL
From London
There are good, fast services from London, some trains stopping at Watford, Milton Keynes, Stoke-on-Trent and Macclesfield. Journey time is about 2:40, but variable. Allow at least 1/2 hour to get to the University.
From the East and Liverpool
The Trans-Pennine Express runs from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Scarborough and Middlesborough, via York, to Manchester and Liverpool. Trains vary, but many call at Durham, Darlington, Leeds, Dewsbury, Huddersfield and Manchester Oxford Road. All call at Manchester Piccadilly.
From Piccadilly Station, taxis are available alternatively, walking takes about 25 minutes. There are lots of buses - walk to Piccadilly (follow everyone else), and catch anything that says Wilmslow Road.
From Oxford Road Station, walk down station approach to Oxford Road. You are about 10 minutes walk from the University (turn right on Oxford Road, to walk past the big BBC building), or catch any bus going that way.
AIR
The airport is 16km southwest of the city. The airport is well-served by a fast, 24-hour train link to South Manchester and the City Centre, with trains every 15 minutes. The station has a direct link to Terminal 1 and a shuttle bus link to Terminal 2.
